Meyer Perlstein's affidavit in Equity Case No. 2924: Donnelly Garment Company and Donnelly Garment Sales Company, Plaintiffs, vs. International Ladies' Garment Workers Union (ILGWU) and all members of said union as defendants in this class action. In this affidavit, Perlstein provides information about the history, structure, and operations of the ILGWU in Missouri, the poor conditions for garment industry workers prior to the organization of the union, the benefits of a unionized shop, and his actions in representing women discriminated against by the Donnelly Garment Company for their union affiliation.
