This special Missouri Edition of Labor: A National Weekly Newspaper was created ahead of the 1940 Primary Election, August 6, in order to inform subscribes to the national labor unions' endorsements of Missouri candidates. As suggested by the title, "Harry Truman's Magnificent Record Entitles Him to Another Term", this edition focuses almost entitling on praising Harry S. Truman's character and political career. Also included are political cartoons that depict Truman in a favorable manner.
