Manuel Conrad Elmer, Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Kansas, acts as director of the survey for this Bulletin of the University of Kansas, Vol. XX, No. 12, June 15, 1919.

Report prepared by the Kansas City Public Service Institute, under the direction of the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, surveying the Kansas City Police Department.

Book containing text and photographs of the history, facilties, art, and architecture of the courthouses of Jackson County, Missouri. The document also includes portrait photographs of the public servants that aided in the creation of the new Jackson County Courthouse and a list of county judges of Jackson County from 1827 to 1933.

Inside cover describes the volume as "the story of a trip South that was taken April 9, 1920, by 27 Negro Business and Professional Men of Kansas City and the Biography of each..." The story was published as a serial in the Kansas City Call. The back of the booklet contains advertisements for a number of local businesses.
